In Season 2, Episode 2, we’re talking about how to actually start encountering God through your creative practice.
You may hear me and others talk about connecting with God through creativity and it sounds like a great idea, but there’s this gap between the idea of it and making it something you personally experience. Something I’ve found helpful is learning about altars and how our creative practice can become an altar of encounter with the Lord.
So in this episode we’re exploring:
What’s an altar and what happens there.
How altars can shape the way we approach our creative practice.
What gets in the way and what helps us form an altar of encounter with Jesus through creativity.
I hope this episode inspires you to re-imagine the ways you connect with God through your creativity, and how it can be a form of prayer and worship to your Creator.
After listening, try reflecting on these questions:
What does the word “altar” mean to you?
In what spaces have you felt most connected to Jesus?
What might it look like to intentionally approach your creative practice as an altar of encounter with Jesus?
